Developing a High Performance Organization

Managers are under great pressure to deal effectively with the current business environment. It is their task to realize the goals of the organization by achieving outstanding performance in the organizational unit they are responsible for. However they suffer from a chronic lack of time due to numerous demands and they therefore need a strong focus on what really matters in order to improve the performance of their organization. As such managers have a keen interest in identifying the characteristics of high performance to help them in their quest for excellence. Moreover in order to keep performing better than the competition, this high performance has to be sustainable.

The High Performance Organization (HPO) framework results from longstanding research and identifies factors of sustainable high performance. The HPO Framework, consists of five HPO factors and 35 accompanying HPO characteristics. Using the HPO Framework helps organizations to focus on what really matters thus making them perform better compared to their competitors (profit) or comparable organizations (non-profit, government).

The first week of the program will introduce you to the five HPO factors and how to use them for improved performance: management quality, openness and action orientation, long-term orientation, continuous improvement and renewal, and employee quality.

The second week will focus on organizational culture and organizational change in the perspective of becoming an HPO.
